Eddie Howe
1 win in 9 and Bournemouth booed off after losing at home to Burnley.
Reminds me a bit of the situation at Charlton where they got bored of Curbishley finishing in the top half.
Howe needs a change and a challenge if he is going to progress.
A situation we should monitor next season if Pellegrini underwhelms.

Re: Eddie Howe
There was a chain reaction that took him to Tottenham after Pochettino went to Man U. Now that that won’t be happening, where does he go? Everton? Us? If not Us, Everton or Haringey, then there’s no point in moving I reckon.

Re: Eddie Howe
His assistant comes from Mile End I believe. We need someone like Howe to build a squad from basics instead of signing players like Dzeko if there's any truth in that rumour.

No prizes for guessing who that 1 win was against.

Re: Eddie Howe
The comparison with Curbishley is spot on.

Once they are relegated (and it will happen within the next few years) they will be one of those clubs that will slide down the leagues playing against clubs their own size so if I were them I would just enjoy what they have while it's still there.

I think he would make a good manager for us...he would maintain the fine tradition of a good drubbing after a fantastic, promising performance against one of the better teams

Re: Eddie Howe
Eusebiovic :-)

I would not want us to be his next club after leaving the only team he has had any real success with. And success here is relative. What he has done is keep a very small club in he top league and had them playing decent football with largely budget priced players. A great achievement but what happens when he starts managing prima donna, millionaire players? Where expectations are higher etc?

I personally always prefer to see a manager that has success at a few clubs as it tends to suggest his methods are transferable and he too can adjust to different circumstances. Howe may prove a success wherever he goes now but I seem to recall he struggled badly at Burnley? I think? Ok a few years ago so he has a lot more experience. But like I say, would not want us to be his next gig.

they spent £80m during the last year, he's not working on peanuts

Re: Eddie Howe
As Miike says, bit of a myth that they are working wonders with no money, as far as I'm aware.

Didn't they spend hugely to get through the divisions? Hardly having to find players for half a mill these days either.

Anyway, maybe not quite so David and Goliath as it's cracked up to be, but he's still done a great job.

Re: Eddie Howe
The sad thing is the teams at our level even spending a decent amount and doing a lot of things right, seem to hit a wall.

Everton did okay today against a poor Arsenal side but they spent a ton as well and are fighting for 7th, miles off 6th.

I like him but I think most managers will struggle working under the trio of cunts in charge

Re: Eddie Howe
Funny to think that Charlton fans thought that Curbs had "taken us as far as he can" and so replaced him with Ian Dowie.
